Quickly closing in on a decade of real estate experience, James has had the privilege of working with clients through the highs and lows of a cyclical real estate market. He has represented his clients successfully on both sides of a transaction and in varying degrees of complexity from condo and single-family home sales, multi-unit apartment buildings, and mixed-use properties to sale lease backs and three lender short sales. This depth of market knowledge and transactional know-how continues to serve his past, current, and future clients.
A native of Northern California and third generation Californian, James first moved to San Francisco in 2005. James' love of all things San Francisco has driven him (literally) all over the city to find the perfect coffee shop, restaurant, and hiking trail, or to look at lots of property. According to James, every angle of the city is a good angle ready to be viewed, explored, and enjoyed.
James holds a California Brokers license as well as being licensed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Working and staying in tune with what is happening in the financial and equities markets is crucial to advising clients on complex real estate transaction. Understanding market timing, supply and demand pressures, and interest rate changes and how they affect the real estate market are just a part of the skill set that James brings to the table for his clients.
When he's not meeting with clients and touring properties, you might find this multi-facetted broker in a hot kitchen with very sharp knives. Prior to taking on a professional real estate career, James followed his passion for food and attended San Francisco's California Culinary Academy. James honed his skills with the likes of Paula LeDuc, The Fifth Floor, Walt Disney World, and as a private chef aboard a yacht for wealthy clients. James continues to enjoy preparing and serving fine meals for family, friends, and clients.
Work-life balance is a priority with James which makes him more efficient at work and more fun to be with at home. James, his wife Barbara, and their three young children call the Richmond district home. You will often see them at the local parks and museums. James also enjoys golfing, skiing, theater, playing basketball, and finding new restaurants.
